Maria Grazia Giammarinaro

Maria Grazia Giammarinaro (born 23 June 1953) is an Italian judge, policy-maker, and leading expert in the struggle against human trafficking. Dr. Giammarinaro served as Special Representative and Co-ordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings of the world’s largest regional security organization, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe from 2010-2014. During her tenure as Special Representative, according to the US Government's Trafficking in Persons Report:“()er leadership has transformed the OSCE’s anti-human trafficking efforts across the OSCE”.〔US Government, State Department, Trafficking in Persons Report, 2012, http://www.state.gov/j/tip/rls/tiprpt/2012/192362.htm〕

Giammarinaro was born in Palermo, Sicily, Italy. She is divorced and has a daughter. She currently lives between Rome and Paris.
